What to Donate

The Manhattan Emergency Shelter will gladly accept anything that is in good, clean working condition and is relevant to the needs of our clients. This means food, furniture, cleaning supplies, linens, new toys, household items, personal hygiene items, baby supplies, and anything else relevant to their needs both now and when they move into their new home.

The Caroline Peine Transitional Shelter has a full basement the size of the building. This allows us to store lots of furniture, household items, and supplies. We use these to give to clients when they move out. This is a service that we were not able to provide at our old location on Leavenworth Street.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept clothing and used toys.

Please bring your donations to the Yuma street door of the Caroline Peine Transitional shelter at 416 South 4th Street.
(Please call (537-3113) before donating large furniture items)
