Fund RaisersThe Manhattan Emergency Shelter holds three main FundRaisers:
1 - THE BAG LADY LUNCHEON Every April goggles of women flock together to buy the the latest and cutest handbags for a fraction of their cost. This year the 7th Annual Bag Lady Luncheon, will be held on April 24 at St. Thomas More Church. Themed “Birds of a feather, donate together,” the event supports the operation of the shelter. There will be over 100 new designer handbags displayed during both a silent and live auction.“The Bag Lady Luncheon and Auction is a great way to get that designer bag you have been dreaming of and support charity at the same time. This event is the perfect excuse to shop, shop, shop for the Manhattan Emergency Shelter.” - Quote from Mandy Chapman Semple, Executive Director. A Champagne preview will begin at 10:30, followed by a presentation and silent auction with lunch and live auction beginning at noon. Tickets are $35 per person or $250 for a table of 8. Donations of bags to be auctioned are also greatly appreciated. Drop off a new, spring-themed bag by the shelter at 416 S. 4th Street.

3 - Our HOLIDAY MAILING DRIVE Every November the Manhattan Emergency Shelter sends out a letter to previous donors and those in the community asking for their support for the upcoming year.
